Huong Mac
Huong Mac craft village is in the northwest of Tu Son city, Bac Ninh province, the northeast borders on Dong Ky ward, the west borders on Van Ha commune (Dong Anh district, Hanoi city), the southeast borders on Phu Khe commune, the west borders on Phu Khe commune. The North borders on Van Mon and Dong Tho communes (Yen Phong district). The natural area has 557.66 ha; population 17,000 people; the commune includes 06 villages; Huong Mac, Mai Dong, Kim Thieu, Kim Bang, Dong Huong, Vinh Tho. Over the course of history, up to now, the place names and administrative boundaries of Huong Mac ward have changed a lot.

According to the oral tradition of the people in the village, right from the time of King Ly Nhan Tong (1072-1128) he went to visit Lang Giang (Ly Dynasty's place) to examine the Nhu Nguyet line (on the Cau River) against the enemy. Tong. The king heard that Mac village had a profession of woodcarving, so he chose workers to make all kinds of wooden furniture. Then, the artisans in Mac village received the carved samples and combined them with the groups of mussel mosaic workers in Chuon village (Ha Tay province) because their ancestor, Truong Cong Thanh, passed on the craft of inlaying pearls. Many wooden furniture such as cabinets, collapsibles, couplets, chairs... were inlaid with pearls before entering the palace. Since then, the mosaic craft of Mac village has been replicated, known and appreciated by many people.

Traditional craft in Huong Mac quickly replicated to the neighboring villages of Thuong Village, Dong Village (Phu Khe), Ong Village (Van Ha), Dong Ky Village (Dong Quang). Later, due to the advantage of trading locations, people knew more about Dong Ky village with traditional wooden handicraft products, but these products still bear many imprints of Huong Mac's wooden homeland because the Hands of ancient artisans are still handed down to this day.
